Framing Tip: Use UltraVue Glass or Conservation Grade Acrylic

Due to damage from ultra-violet lighting (either sun or artificial light) the art and mat you choose to frame may fade.

Conservation grade glass and acrylic protects from the harmful UV light rays. Just a small investment goes a long way. A specialized protective glazing will keep the integrity of your framed art and increase its lifespan.

UltraVue Glass

From Tru Vue's website:

UltraVue® Laminated Glass provides 99% UV protection and anti-reflective optical viewing on a water white glass, all with the safety and security of a laminate. Similar to its other anti-reflective products, Tru Vue's magnetron-sputtered anti-reflective coating is bonded to the lite at an atomic level. This ensures long-lasting protection that doesn't oxidize and degrade over time.

Conservation Acrylic

From Tru Vue's website:

Conservation Clear® Acrylic with its UV filtering technology protects works of art from the harmful effects of indoor and outdoor UV light rays. Over time, the ultraviolet rays in everyday indoor and outdoor light take a toll on artwork. Paper can become faded, discolored and brittle, causing irreversible damage that ruins the works of art. Conservation Clear Acrylic provides 99% UV protection to help protect art from fading by blocking harmful indoor and outdoor light rays, preserving art for years longer than regular acrylic.
